Get the Board Rule Voter Guide

Early voting in Chicago opened yesterday at two downtown locations. It's time to research the candidates, including the folks running for the Chicago school board. Plenty of guides will tell you about their background and stands on the issues.

But here's what makes Board Rule's voter guide special.

Short 'n sweet. Three questions, one commitment. That's it.

Focus on governance. We asked the candidates questions about how they plan to do their job as board members, not their stances on issues.

Locus of control. Board Rule's questions also encouraged candidates to stay focused on what they can control. We trust our readers to decide whether the candidates kept that focus in their answers.

One guide to rule them all. If Board Rule's guide doesn't give you the answers you're looking for, just scroll all the way down. There, you'll find links to the most comprehensive and popular guides, so you can quickly find what you want.

The catch. Yes, there's a catch. Our guide is for paid subscribers. You can join Board Rule as a parent or LSC member for a discounted price, or join our Junior Board and support the work at a deeper level.
